Business History . . .
Gary Godfrey began his body shop career at his father’s dealership, Godfrey Pontiac, in 1968. He continued to work for Godfrey Pontiac for twenty-three years. When the business was sold to Snyder Motors, Gary stayed on for another seven years.
In 1998, Gary and his son, Erich, opened their own business at the site of the former Bill’s Car Wash on Route 62 in Mercer. In June, 1998, the new building was completed and is now the site of the main service area. The original building was converted to a three-bay paint shop.
In 2004, the business added additional services to their body shop work. They include: Lube, Oil, Filter, All Mechanical Needs & State Inspections, Hand Wash - Buff – Wax, Interior & Exterior Detailing, Tire Rotation, and Winterization & Summer Maintenance. In 2006, the business became a certified State Inspection facility.
